So, its been a few months since River visited Faisan's shop, but as fortune would have it, the pheasant's cheesecake business has really taken off (not that Faisan's going to be able to, anytime soon). Much to River's surprise, and delight, the pheasant has his own stand set up just in time for fall's biggest harvest market festival, where everyone in Thistledown makes the most of the seasonal abundance to stock up on as many delicious goods as they possibly can, just as the first snow starts to fall.
Speaking of abundance, Faisan's made the most of every single day since he's seen River to perfect his family's old cheesecake recipe, and the resulting richness speaks for itself! River can hardly believe that Faisan's easily twice the pheasant he remembers him being, softened and thickened up all over, just as pleasantly fat as can be! Faisan's more than proud of the progress he's made, too; not even the heaviest toms in town have plumped up as wonderfully well as he has, with that dapper plumage benefiting from an extra-glossy sheen thanks to his decadent feasting on desserts all day long...
Taking advantage of the crowds to strut his stuff, Faisan notices you've been looking his way more than a few times, and decides to give you something to admire indeed... the plumpest pheasant you've ever seen giving that belly an inviting squeeze, and a charming smile, as he slicks back that handsome headcrest of feathers. With a figure perfectly fit for seeing a cold, harsh winter through, those eyes seem to ask 'who wouldn't want all of this keeping them warm all through the night?'
