This is a sample of another race I'm trying to design called kin. The kin are divided into two camps, the gec-kin and the ig-kin (original names I know). The ig-kin are extremely territorial and will not hesitate to attack any strangers. However, they will also forcibly take any sort of ground that could prove beneficial to them. This includes oases. The ig-kin have adapted quite well to a combative lifestyle since they can regrow any appendage as long as any vital organs are still intact. The regeneration isn't instantaneous though since it often takes months or even years to regrow something. It depends on the severity of the injury.

I looked for a tutorial for making skin (or scales) look wet but didn't really find much. Any help?
