Meet Winfred "Winfry" Mars, a young Starly.
The daughter of a family of archaeologists, Winfry's spent most of her life abroad, making herself at home amongst the dust and ruins of a variety of exotic but remote locales. Bubbly and energetic and an eager flyer, she'd often play messenger between her parents' and siblings' dig sites, as well as indulge in the occasional sightseeing flyaways to neighboring towns and sites of interest. This quasi-nomadic lifestyle has instilled a hint of wanderlust in her, and left her adept at languages.
Now thirteen, her parents have decided to feed her spirit for adventure - and acquaint her with the more pedestrian workings of civilized society should she wish to partake of a more formal high school education than the services of a local tutor - by sending her to the Poke Star Ranger Camp for the summer.
Winfry is looking forward to the change of pace - not to mention the chance to make friends her own age - but Starly are flocking folk; how she'll fare on her own for the first time, no one knows...
....Yes, I've caved to peer pressure and am entering
pokestarrangers. I'm not familiar with Pokemon (having never played the games), but it sounded like fun - and heckfire, I need to prove to myself that I can draw pokemorphs and uniforms and I wanted to try it b/c it sounds like fun. Also, a middle-schooler that's been out-of-touch with mainstream society seemed as good a trial run as any...
...Micron inks on drawing paper; colored in Photoshop. I'll be splicing her into a PSR move sheet as soon as I work out what starting moves I'm allowed. (Suggestions are, of course, appreciated.)

bah. I just wanted to draw a burd, and the creativity demons WILL NOT SHUT UP about her. Seriously. They've started the intro story thingie (in my head, at least) already.
WHY OH WHY OH WHY DID I GIVE THEM A SHINY NEW TOY?!?
....Ah well. It's kept me occupied, at least. Now to figure out her starting moveset under PSR rules....my ignorance, it BURNS!!!! @_@;

Thanks. :)
Most Pokemon are allowed (though I think Shadow/Deltas aren't, except as pets), allowed with mild hybrids - those that can be created through the game's breeding system. (Some of the fan-run pokedex sites online list possible hybrids and the special "egg moves" said hybrids can pull off that purebreds can't. But any hybrid features have to be subtle -
pokestarrangers rules specifically state that crazy mad-scientist chimeras are verboten. Helps keep people from submitting ridiculously over-powered movesets, I think...)
JOIN US....JOIN US.....JOIN US....c'mon....all the cool kids are doing it.... ;)

Hehe - I'll play around with something tonight. Dunno what I'll come up with, since I never got into the Pokemon craze.
I did find a pokemorph site that has both mild and major hybrids as drawn by one artist. It's all game pixels, in fact. Would these serve as mad-scientish chimeras?
