snarks are a fluffy snake-headed feline/canine type creature. typically with fluffy "mane", long fangs, forked tongue, and big paws.
the head and body, or any other visually "smooth" parts of the design, can have short fur OR scales. it is up to your own interpretation!
*neck mane and tail are always fur; not scales
*snarks are a CLOSED species
