I did some redesigning of the space frogs to come up with a final version I like. Also, got a good look for her gun. May work on refining her cape a bit, but I like the "evil butterfly" look she's got going on.

So, this was a ton of work. Three and a half hours of work on just the background, but definitely worth the extra effort. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

This is Cassiopeia, my first truly original character. Her design is heavily inspired by 50s pulp science fiction. She is a scientist who styles herself as a "Space Witch" and flies around the solar system raiding major installations and cargo ships for their goods to sell for her own profit. Her gun turns its victims into creatures that she's dubbed "Space Frogs."

And in this picture, her three victims are Ayeka, Ryoko, and Kiyone from Tenchi Muyo. Cassie wasn't made for the Tenchi universe, but she does feel like she'd fit right in there.
