Red and Green were the original Pokemon cartridge colors in Japan, then Green was replaced by Blue for the worldwide release.
Also, the protagonist of those games is called Red, his rival Green (renamed Blue for the worldwide release), and Green was reused in the Gameboy Advance remakes Fire Red and Leaf Green as the default name for the girl choice protagonist.

It made for an easy next half of the game though :D I was so overpowered for a while after that.

It's cute :) and different from what I expected at first (because of Silver's inroduction) but good nonetheless. :>
