"You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this guy is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?"
A paraphrase of another of my favorite bounty hunters that I felt was apt for this.
A full blown re-upload with the promised higher quality pictures, from a plethora of angles to help slake your thirst for the nitty gritty details. Maybe now these factoids won't sound as silly to you folks.
This figure is a whopping inch and a quarter high 1 1/4"
However, at that scale, this is quite possibly the most detailed figure I've made to date, so much so that my camera outright refused to even try to focus because all the details were confusing it too much.
Everything from the soles of his boots to the tip of his helmet were painstakingly sculpted by hand, several baking sessions involved because an absent minded flick of the wrist could decimate previous work (happened twice)
The majority of the figure was actually made out of unique pieces of clay, Much like the real deal, I started with the boots, then made the bodysuit, progresses onto the pouches, followed by armor, the cape... Even the gun in his hand was sculpted seperately, carefully positioned and baked in, then the hands were sculpted around the gun so that it was gripped appropriately.
He also has details that could easily be overlooked like the tools in his pants which were made using floral wire and solder wire. The solder wire was flattened with a plier, then carefully cut to shape with nail clippers and tucked into the pocket.
About a full 17 hours worth of work went into this figure, culminating in a final paintjob to fully sell the build.
Not even two pennies high, and inside a pennies width, this was taxing to the point of insane. But great fun to work on.
My one complaint would be that, because I didn't use a magnifying glass, whenever I'd look away from the piece I'd get a splitting headache.
That's because my eyes were getting so accustomed to magnifying what they had to see that, when I finally looked elsewhere, the room was just too big and it actually hurt to look around normally.
