Well here it is. A demon that, eh, ''sleeps'' with men and collect their stuff. It then enters a chrysalis and emerges as an incubus, but that's a story for another picture, which you can probably expect soon. The head on it's shoulders is not a real head, it's a decoy, the real ''face'' is on its torso - the ''boobs'' are the eyes, and the crack on it's chest is a mouth.
Ugh, this is the first time I tried this coloring style, and I'm not really satisfied with the result :S Anyone have any suggestions how to make it less ''flat''? What kind of brushes to use or something?

so how's this: you might want to try picking out some of the ridgy spiraly details with a fine brush and a highlight-ish colour. even a matte surface will have some distinct highlights especially around the light source, though they won't be as hard and glossy as a slick surface might have
might also try using the wings as a secondary lighting source for dramatic impact, i dunno :3
hopefully that helps a little, i am really terrible at explaining
I actually did start highlighting the ridges, but it wasn't really turning out as I expected, so I figured I'd better stop before I screw it out. I'll use your advice on the next pic
keep at it, you def. have a solid grasp of the technique~
Seriously, very impressive design.
I love the design though.
