Chapter 32: Battle With Troops
As the ride Nicholas and Huraz-Alaz continued to fly along with the others that had rescued the rest of the Jedi, the two Padawans they could see they were headed towards some of the open plains of the planet. "I hope it's not much longer," the female Nelvaanian said to the male human.
"We must be getting close," he replied.
Suddenly they heard the sound and saw laser fire heading towards the gun ships. The two got a good hold as the ride was about to become a little bumpy. "How much farther now?!" Nicholas asked one of the clones on their gun ship.
"We'll be there quickly sir!" the troop replied. "Look!"
The two could see an assembly area where clones, war vehicles, and other things needed for this battle were being deployed. The gun ship the four Jedi were on landed and there were some medic troops waiting for them. "We'll get them fixed up to fight in no time," one said to the Padawans.
"No," Neron replied. "Me and Bonga must rest. Those shots and journey here took more out of us."
The two older Jedi looked at the younger ones. "It'll be up to you two to head into battle in our stead. Remember, the Force will be with you; always."
"We won't fail you," Nicholas replied, grasping his master's right hand in his own. "I promise. I have no fear now."
"Leave this to us," Huraz-Alaz told her master. "I have nothing left to fear even during this."
The two older Jedi exchanged looks, knowing this battle had been it. It had presented the final trials their Padawans needed to pass. If they survived this battle, the two Masters knew what would happen for the two younger ones. "Then go, and may the Force be with you two," Bonga stated.
The two watched the medics take their Masters aside for a few seconds then turned to the clones that were in the area. "What are your orders from you two?" one of them asked wearing white and blue armor.
"A couple of you need to head out and scout the area," Huraz-Alaz ordered. "Come back to us in a bit."
"The rest stay here and wait with us until Master Windu arrives," Nicholas told the rest after pointing to two clones to go on ahead. "We need to know what you can do since this is our first time fighting."
"Yes sir!" the rest responded. Huraz-Alaz and Nicholas learned that the ones they had here were under the commands of a lieutenant and who was above that. The Padawans figured that they'd leave the red armor wearing captains and yellow armor wearing commands to the higher ranking Jedi. They noticed other gun ships had landed with the rest of the Jedi and they were already heading into battle with more of the troops, slowly pushing the droids back. Quickly the scouts came back and from the looks of things this would be mostly a ground combat battle.
Looking up the two Padawans saw Mace Windu's gun ship land. Nicholas and Huraz-Alaz learned he had taken command of some special commando units, while Yoda had gone on to a different area to direct the battle. "Come on!" the male human told the clones he and Huraz-Alaz were with. "Let's go!"
Both drew their Lightsabers and with the blades glowing went froward with troops behind them and deflecting blaster bolts. They saw wave after wave of droids heading towards them and the huge amount of clones with the reaming Jedi leading them. They watched as heavy walkers were able to destroy many of the bigger droids even if some of these were destroyed. The Padawans just deflected any fire that was sent their way. Thanks to the clones they were with, they learned of the separate battles going on the planet. It seemed all forwards were advancing. "Keep up the pressure!" Huraz-Alaz shouted and kept moving forward along with Nicholas.
"Push them back!" the human yelled to the clones.
"Sir!" came a reply to one of them. The two were able to get undercover and meet up with the clone. They learned that someone had managed to destroy most of the clones forces at a nearby valley. Reports had come in that it was someone wielding a lightsaber.
"Sounds like something we can handle," Nicholas told the clone. "Get us some speeders, we're on our way."
The human and Huraz-Alaz were soon on one each and headed to the target. They saw the fleet of huge Trade Federation Star Ships trying to leave, but a few got shot down. This created a huge dust storm. "I'd hate to be in that!" the Nelvaanian commented.
"Same," the male Jedi replied. "Strange… I feel something close. And it feels dark. Not like a Sith."
"Then what?" the female asked.
"More like… a Dark Jedi. One that's on the Dark Side but not Sith."
"I feel it to. Well I'm ready."
"Same," Nicholas said and the two continued on their way, unaware of what they would face.

The reason is that this is so short is what is to come. However I can say that there will be three chapters next month that will conclude this first story (Or if this was a movie conclude it). I look forward to working on them.
