I got some responses asking for sketch commissions. However, I feel like my sketches aren't really saleable though. They're messy, and more of a shorthand for what I'm going to draw later. And 90% of the time for some reason they are purple.
Is this something people actually want to see for sale?
Anyways, hope some of you enjoy seeing behind my process at least, even if you don't have any input on the question.

If your style has evolved to what you have above, then I can see how that'd be a hurdle.

I've found that 'sketch' style artworks vary greatly from artist to artist but for the most part they're rough lines+some detail, maybe monotone shading. As Karidon linked above, that seems more common for a 'sketch' style piece of art and these are more rough pose/gestures to work out positioning and the like.

Yeah I tend to only add in character details to sketches just when I'm showing them to commissioners to make sure I'm understanding everything right.
For personal work I tend to skip straight into something like this after roughing in the pose like above: https://i.imgur.com/3pBixTx.png?1 Whereas commissioner gets something like this in between (which isn't something I'm comfortable giving as a finished product either really): https://i.imgur.com/vSUMbf7.png?1
