Before starting on the full size sculpture, the client wants me to come up with preliminary versions. Sure, I could just keep changing the same model, but I like to have the old ones to refer to when making new versions. The client gave me specific changes that they wanted made after version 1 on the left, based on that feedback, I started anew, basing the shape more on the shape of primate skulls in version 2 (upper middle). They loved it with a few minor exceptions, but I did not. So, I fused the "best of both worlds" in my most recent design. Version 3 on the right. In the lower middle is an ear stand-in. I need to make another of those, only for the other side of the head. Random lumps of clay are random.
