Sketchbook 050: It Just Works
Wanted to draw a picture having to do with the recent MLP movie but never could manage to draw anything.
Luckily, my friend
ph0220 got me thinking about how Capper, an anthro cat would react to meeting a feral cat like Opal, probably would be wondering how such a thing can be :p
Well, my reasoning is screw logic "It just works"
I don't know how I feel about this one, I relatively like how I drew Capper, but I think I messed up a bit on Opal, plus, backgrounds are still things that I need practice on, plus, putting the picture together was kind of rushed so there are areas where lines don't, well, line up exactly. However, I figured it was good enough to post so here it is :3
This sketch was also inspired by a story that ph0220 did a while back.

True, though it is still weird to have them both be classified as cats, I was under the impression that Capper was technically a different species :p
Though if magic is the explanation then that raises some more questions, such as can ferals become anthro through some kind of spell, if so then I wonder what and anthro Opal would look like :3

You know, I always figured that they'd make Capper something a bit more magical than just a cat for this very reason, like a Cait Sith or something. Guess not. Just a cat :P
Really love how Opal is drawn here, though it's kind of weird to see her smiling. Normally she's such a sourpuss (no pun intended) XD Lookin' nice and plump too.
As for Capper, I like the "wrap-around" effect his coat is having with his body at the bottom. Also, that is some major chest floof that he's rockin'

I know right, I was wondering if they classified his species as "Abyssinian" but apparently not.
Glad you like how I drew Opal, I honestly kind of forgot that she frowns all the time, but as she's a cat (and an apparently pretty pampered one) I thought it would be fun to have her acting pretty vain (in addition to her being rather plump do to being spoiled ^^)
As for Capper, I'm glad you like how I did the coat, I honestly wasn't sure how well it turned out so I'm glad you found it to look nice. And yes, that is indeed a lot of fluff, I do often enjoy a good bit of floof, though maybe I went a little overboard :3
