Nice variation of the movie's distinctive style. Seeds may be a mouse's bread and butter, but a cluster of rowan berries... that's a treat!
There are a few native North American varieties and a lot transplanted from the old world, but folks in the U.S. generally don't eat rowan (sorbus). A Russian friend at work gave me a jar of rowan jelly a few years ago. Let's say it didn't last very long! Very good on toasted Russian pumpernickel with a dab of butter.
