I used to have all the pieces to Devistator back when I was like 6 though this one looks more detailed did it get re/custom painted? or is this one of the recent reproductions that hasbro has been doing with their older transformer models?

This a third party production. Completely original molds but not done by or licensed from Hasbro or Takara. So it's not a trademark Transformer.

Are these available to be purchased, and if so, where from.. PLEASE? I LOVE this generation of those transformers.. always had because I grew up with them.. and now you're showing some revamped ones that have absolutely beautiful, staggeringly marvelous detail. where did you get them, please hon?

It is 21 inches tall and weighs about 10 pounds. The production is also very small which drives up the cost.

don't mind me. I just can't imagine something that expensive that is technically a plaything I'd be completely scared of it self-destructing if I even touched it. When I was young I got a complete devastator at a yard sale and almost immediately broke hook do too how fragile that particular transformer was one of the legs broke off trying to transform it.i at some point lost hem and was never able to find another one go figure.i still have that exact devastator missing hook.i can get it on eBay but the price would probably surprise most people and the shipping is ridiculous.i bout a in box knockoff devastator from Mexico for 8.00 a few years ago at Christmas time from a little table in a shopping mall I'm still surprised they were getting away with selling knockoffs at a mall.a week ago i found a 1980's fake hook copy of the transformer and it fits in too the area of devastator but is yellow instead of green lol. I've found extras of nearly every other part of devastator except that one transformer apparently it was pretty commonly broken during the 1980s due to the legs were so thin and brittle. 400 to 600 us is somewheres between 700 and 900 Canadian so I couldn't even imagine spending that much on a television let alone something made out of plastic like this don't get me wrong it's beautiful but I just can't imagine it being that expensive where it's a third-party product. I'm scared to imagine how much Megatron and Starscream were or that really beautiful version of ravage I'm still little bit curious but I'm betting there are about $100 each.

I'll give you a rundown:
Devastator was 299.99 (He was half off, normally 599.99)
Soundwave was 150.00
Starscream was 80.00
Thundercracker was 80.00
Skywarp was 80.00 (all three of the jets were US releases, so a little cheaper)
The cassette bots were 65.00 for two and I have all five, (one came with Soundwave)
And then Megatron.. 265.00. (Lots of engineering in that figure)

I am curious where you're looking for a new G1 Hook. I got mine on ebay ebay for about 35.00 US and I see most selling for less than 50.00. Here is a link from a seller who I have purchased from before who is selling one:

There are limits.. but the individual bots are about the same size as Soundwave pictured in the lower left.

That is awesome though. And throwing in on sale makes it much fun too.
