Eh, I don't recall robins being part of the festive season. Maybe a partridge when it comes to avians.

Lol yus :p and interesting :3 robins are in the UK all year round but they are thought of as the Christmas birb :3 just noticed they dident seem to be as prominent over in the us/canada :3 (I think your guys robin looks a bit different too? :3)

American robins are a lot different from european robins and in fact are only really named as such because they also have a red underside. American ones are thrushes while UK ones are chats, so they're really quite different.

Fair enough an thank you :3 I love European birds and can recognize almost any right away ^^ but it still catches me out how many differences (despite name) there are between our native species and the ones over in the us :3

The American Robin is much more associated with spring here. While there are places where they live year-round, in a lot of areas of the States they're one of the first migratory birds to reappear after the winter.

Fair enough :3 I'm surprised I never really noticed the difference tbh e.g over here robins are extremely common themes in Christmas decorations :3 one of my fav birds too as they have really nice songs and are friendly birds :3

Well, now...I don't know how many creatures are given festive credit around this time of the year. But...them red foxes are gaining ground. I've seen inflatable lawn ornaments. Red foxes on Christmas cookie tins. Foxes on this and that bric-a-brac. Why, just walking about my place of business, I can almost randomly stumble across another red fox by the dozen. In fact, the store franchise may be turning furry the only way it knows how. (Through sales.) But, do they even have the vaguest idea that the fur mascot leader is sneaking into every little crevice?

Heh...don't think I didn't notice the number of hoofer avatars in this feedback. ;P
