I was watching begin Japanology a while ago, and there was an aquarium in Hokkaido that has a window open to the river next to it, so that people can watch the salmon run... this stirred something deep in my fat grizzly bear soul. I could watch that for hours... So long as I had a bowl of salmon rice and a large cold coffee.
