Yeah that doesn't make sense. O: Unless you changed the quality, because rendering the animation is just constantly rendering a picture each time.
Unless you meant baking the cloth animation took 3 minutes, then that makes total sense!

yeah, err, that's what I meant. Baking the animation took about 3 minutes, but rending one frame of said animation took over an hour. One picture out of the whole thing. Ugh, wish I had a proper desktop motherboard>.<

What you really want is a super strong graphics card! If you can render using GPU instead of the CPU, it can go a looooot faster.
What I usually do is I don't render an animation until I know I won't be using the computer for a few days, then I start rendering (or I render sections overnight/while at work/school). ^^;; Ideally, though, if you could get a renderfarm, then you can have a large amount of dedicated computers render the animation for you. :p I think there exists a free one online somewhere....
