GajinGoomba finally caved in and made a "hurr durr mario is the devil bowser is superman mind control isn't real sigmund freud is" theory, and got nearly 2 million views from it.
Not saying that this theory doesn't hold water, I'm just noticing a pull-away from the Bowser-Tiara-mindcontrolling-Peach theory near the end.

Literally everything on the GameTheory channel should be taken with an enormous tub of salt. Most of the stuff I’ve seen on that channel holds up very poorly. And anything that tries pushing Mario as evil and Bowser as innocent falls apart fast.
Also, Bowser is more like Batman, anyways. :P

It’s mostly a silly thing, but there are just a bumber of minor similarities between the two.

I mean, Bowser’s parents are never seen when he’s a kid in the Yoshi spin-off games. He’s all alone with only Kamek. It’s not stated in canon, but it’s a possibility. Even Mario and Luigi’s parents are seen briefly at the end of Yoshi’s Island.
Again, the Koopa Kingdom. He’s a king, was born a prince.
It’s not that deep, it’s just small similarities.
