That's a good plan! BunnyHugger used a big surplus of medical savings account (we'd budgeted for dental work it turned out I didn't need) to get many eyeglasses in her prescription, including transition sunglasses, stylishly large 70s NHS glasses, driving-quality glasses, and modest ones good for everyday use. Fortunately her prescription hasn't drifted much in the five years since then. And the money would have gone to waste otherwise.
