Let me be the first to provide constructive criticism:
The shading on Carbon makes it look like the light source is to the east while Janarr's shading makes it look like it's from the north.
The book is the wrong color, everybody knows that books are purple.
I can't see Janarr's feet so I have to assume you drew his feet a little too long. That's the only reason I can imagine for cutting them out of the picture.
And lastly, the angle you've chosen doesn't show the elephant drinking the water.
