Had her yearly eye exam and that was part of it - I thought the scans were neat so I asked them to email us copies.

Ah okay! I was getting all sorts of mental images of Kit facedown on a scanner. Your explanation makes much more sense, but mine's much more entertaining! LOL!

That is her optical nerve. Where it connects is called the "blind spot", where no rods or cones exist....

sorry.. work in a science museum!

Actually its blood vessles not the optical nerve.. that is the browner part in the scan.
