Humanoid Snakes is a common theme in fantasy. You got the Snakemen from He-man, The Yuan-ti from DnD Pathfinder has their own snake races. Warcraft have now Two races with snake theme. the Naga And the Sethrak. Even lego has their own race of snakes in Ninjago, The Serpentine.
And then there is the grand daddy of them all ( excluding mythologies) the Serpentmen of Valusia from Robert E Howards Kull Stories, also featured in marvels run of Conan Comics.
The there is the Hindu Naga, Greek Lamia and many more.
