Even on vacation, Kodai still couldn't escape the inevitable comparison to a certain jolly old elf dressed in red. As an early Christmas present, and perhaps as a cruel joke, Goliath presented him with an outfit that was "perfect for the time of year". As you can expect, Kodai was not too pleased with the revelation that it was a Santa costume. One in his size, too! Even worse, Goliath made it mandatory that he wear it every time they went out during vacation. Naturally, every child in his vicinity mistook him for the real Santa Claus which caused no shortage of grief. However, he refused to wear the Santa hat to complete the ensemble. When asked why, he simply replied that he'd have to spend an entire day fixing his hair until he was satisfied.

Although it was a tongue and cheek message for his Extra Soft Soldier to loose some weight, he couldn't help but get a sick sense of humor out of his son's misfortune...
