Backgrounds are fun, but theirs always worrying about perspective, where things look nice compositionally and so on so I get you 9.9
I only started doing backgrounds this year because I told myself the more I do them, the faster I will get at them. It wont be this long painful thing to do anymore.
Oh well, little stuff is easier to take home at conventions. :D
my biggest pieces at ac were like 8.5x11 matted to 11x14. The rest were smaller to be less pains in the ass :)
