It's been a while so I thought I'd share my progress on Raziel. He's far from done and the fur still needs shaving and some even has to be sewn. The eye is temporary, just trying something out (and he will be toony so thank goodness I don't have to deal with resin this time). Beak is also sewn but I didn't add it yet as it needs adjustments ( I'm so happy I actually found vinyl in the correct colours!). Head is made from scratch out of plastic canvas and foam. Super lightweight and breathable (I would use a resin mask but I don't have the means to make my own and they're a bit on the pricy side). Also has a moving jaw hooked up in a similar fashion as a resin mask would have. It's my first time attempting a moving jaw using plastic canvas as well, every other one being hooked up to a balaclava in some way. Gonna try to finish the partial suit for next weekend and get some good pics of him.
I started him last week and got sick after getting fur fibres in my mouth and nose and ingesting/inhaling them (not on purpose obviously. I didn't have a mask and thought I wouldn't need one. I was wrong and now have a "roadhog" like respirator thanks to a friend). I was out for a week, but I can now safely work on him again!
