Not even REMOTELY furry, but I've been reading a lot of old Casper comics lately (for Nightmare, if you're interested... yow!) and I thought this would be a fun desktop pic to have. And there are worse philosophies of life than his...

Aha, yes - someone like myself who appreciates her equine curves (especially her derierre ), flowing tail & lush mane... My eyes used to lovingly linger on her for quite a while when I read those comics. However, I was quite surprised when I bought a big fat reprint book recently of early Casper stories that included Nightmare's introduction - only in the story he's a guy!

And there are so MANY of those 3/4 rear shots too... someone(s) lavished a lot of attention on her, making her look (usually) just right, and awakening nascent furversion in those of us susceptible...
I ran across that collection too, BTW, and yes, Nightmare was originally male, though of course never, you know, explicitly. But some time in between that first appearance and Harvey's publishing 'Casper and Nightmare' as a regular title, someone decided that the name suited a mare better than a stallion and voila. I have made it my hobby to track down just when it happened, and if it means I have to linger over the artwork fantasising, so be it...

Yes, they always drew her with actual cleavage back there while the horses in other kid comics looked like hot dogs with legs.
BTW, if you come across a 2 or 3-page story where a friendly wizard temporarily turns her into a semi-bunny & a semi-butterfly, let me know ASAP! I've been looking for that one for years. (I'll never forget how weird she looked as a hybrid - or the look of extreme embarrassment on her face at her transformation. )

Oh, wait, now I remember - it was when he turned her into an ostrich that really sent her plewds flying!

I think thst's two different stories.
I don't have a copy of that first one, but the second one was 'Changed Charger', Casper and Nightmare vol. 1 number 26, November 1969. In that one she changes into a lion, a bear, a cow and an ostrich, all with her own head. No plewds, though, just a kind of emanata.
Now in 'Imagination Land Part I' (number 45, June 1974) she gets turned into an old woman and a skunk with her own head, while Casper becomes a half-butterfly. Might that be what you're thinking of?
Gotta clear off the scanner on my g/f's desk and scan these in for you.
