Memes are a pretty decent way to stimulate lethargic creativity, it seems. I think its on account of the semi-structured doodles.

I did this primarily because I wanted to test a new art program. Photoshop is lovely but its incredibly intensive and has a tendency to crash (usually before I save and am working on commissions >:C), probably because my PC is crap. This new program, SAI, however, is incredibly lightweight and just as functional as Photoshop (if not more so). I approve :D

Anywho, species meme, because I always wondered how Artie would look as other species. In my opinion, the choices one makes in this meme are just as interesting as the actual drawings. In anycase, Artie is normally a Panthar, which looks a bit like a panthar but its internal biostructure is much different. So what, exactly, did I change Artie in to.

Primate - Western Gorilla.
Feliform Carnivore - Spotted Hyena. Because I like hyena :D + Panthars have a similar matriarchal society.
Caniform Carnivore - Kodiak Bear. Panthars are actually more ursine than feline.
Ungulate - Indian Rhinoceros. 'cause rhinos are awesome.
Rodent/Lagomorph - American Beaver. Er, because the Angry Beavers was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid.
Reptile/Amphibian - Slender-Snouted Crocodile.
Mythological Creature - Cockatrice/Basilisk.
Marsupial - Virginia Opossum.
Fully Aquatic Animal - Florida Manatee.
Arthropod - American Cockroach.
Bird - Shoebill. Because no one draws Shoebills >:C
Non-animal (plant, object) - Venus Fly-Trap.
Microorganism - Eikenella. My favorite bacterium.
Other Mammal - Large-Eared Free-Tailed Bat.
Dinosaur/Extinct - Baryonyx
Random Choice - Hamadyas Baboon. Because -
Artie - give me a random species
Taffy - baboon
