well, calling them naughties was about as comical as my comment, so guess we are as funny as each other.

History isn´t banished, quite the opposite. I think there is hardly any nation in the world that has worked up its history as trougholy as Germany. The thing is that the nazi party and all of its sympbols have been outlawed after the war. The swastika is the official party logo of the nazis, thus has been outlawed and is only allowed to used in an educational, acounting of the past and (tasteful) artistic context.
