three things on my view point that might make it look alittle better (and your gonna hate me for this time sure *chuckles*..first his lower jaw.you have it curving up under the lip..as it opens up this curve doesnt move down, my personaly opinion is the liop doesnt move that much before the jaw does, here you have the lip moving alot
the second point is the eyebrow under the hair..if the hair is waving perhaps the hair hiding the eyebrow would provide a neater look?
the third is the other eye brow i guess you could call it..lest there is a patch around the eye (marking wise0 the nose ridge shouldnt be connected to the top of the eye spot there..looks like somethings been placed atop it all you know?

Great start though! love the idea, the look so far..the main thing that bothers me is the eye ridge connected to the nose bridge thats all
