This is a strange character of mine and a spinoff from the Sonic the Hedgehog series..

He's a cyborg (Anthro hedgehog ,a metal exoskeleton covers most of the body)

..and he likes swamps ,damp environments ,fog ,mist and cloud covers ,snow and water ,experiments and tests ,nature and natural resources.
He also likes learning and discovering.

The story:

When Spirit was a young hedgehog he lived a normal life for the most part. Family and friends of his all died when his village got raided by an army of mechs.
He was a lone survivor of the village and got so badly injured that he nearly died. An unknown scientist picked him up at the ruined village and took him to a secret underground laboratory and patched him up with numerous cybernetic implants that changed him into a fearsome cyborg hybrid. Then the scientist went out and was killed by the mechs. Spirit had now been split and called himself Splitter.
