Anne McCaffrey and her dragon riders of pern are the main thing that got me into fantasy art in the first place. I still remember the day, when a friend of mine at school handed me a battered version of "The white dragon" and told me as I enjoyed fantasy stories I would love this book.
Ive been hooked on her world ever since. I have read pretty much all the novels, and my first ever proper fantasy dragon image was of Ruth surrounded by fire lizards.
Ive seen allot of fan art lately, and I have been dying to draw some new fan art myself, so!
Fire lizards and Pern are the property of Anne McCaffrey , Do not re-produce, use, or re-post this image. It is not designed to be used on any Pern RP sites or websites thank you.

Just be careful. Anne McCaffrey has been known to sue people over fan art. Using Pern-related fan art on any site that also sells your artwork can get you into trouble.

I know, and I have actually sent fan art to Anne McCaffrey in the past . She is generally fine with it, as long as you make sure to say who the designs are copyright to. If you look at her website her latest rules state that you can produce fan art, though if she changes them for any reason, or I was contacted I would and will remove it as I respect her more highly than any other writer out there :)
The main concern is the handing out, or allowing the art for free use outside what she is comfortable with legally. I do not allow people to re-produce, nor sell, nor even advertise my Pern art for commercial use (like advertising commissions.)

Thanks :D I need to draw some more, including a new artwork of Ruth and the fire lizards.
I do need to change a few small details, I know "dragons" were supposed to be rather bovine like in the face, I tried to mix that with an alian look here, but I am not sure if I got it right XD And the nubs are way too prominent for a fire lizard haha

Haha, I had several Pern characters as a kid, but as I rarely got to touch a computer until I left high school I did not have much knowledge of what RP was haha. I just imagined characters in my head and sketched them now and then :) Admittedly I never imagined myself as a dragon rider, but a Harper, as music is what inspires me as I work most of the time :)
