Sometimes, she feels lonely, and wants to talk to someone.
While she purposely chained herself, to a heavy ball, (who knows where, exactly) she just wonders, if a friend of hers, is cold or something. And, hopefully, have the guy she has a crush on, notice her.
Sometimes, she feels like she needs to cuddle with a friend, for warmth; especially due to being cold-blooded.

Also, gotta love these silly moments, where a character's own secret crush, is the reason why such silly things, happen!
Another good example for this happening, is in that "Sonic Boom" episode, "Tails's Crush", where he gets bad advice from his friends, from trying to impress Zooey! XD
