Man I hated those guys. What were worse were those flying dragon-head guys. As big a pain in the ass as those medusas from Castlevania! X_X

I may be one of the only ones that actually liked Zelda 2 more than Zelda 1 though, apparently.

I actually like both about the same. The only thing I can't get over is the fact that in Zelda 1 its possible to beat the game with only 3 hearts, no sword, and a bunch of other "limitations" to make the game harder. but in Zelda 2... You gotta have all the hearts, gotta have max level, else these birds would burn the shit out of your life... And don't even think about getting past the "End Firebird" or "The Dark Curse" of the TriForce of Courage.

My personal opinion about Dark Link is as such.
The Final Trial for the Tri-Force of Courage is to fight your Inner Darkness. As long as the Tri-Force of Courage is not bound inside The Great Temple, Who ever possess the Tri-Force will have to put up with battles against their "Inner Darkness" throughout their life. They no longer have the right to wield it's power when the Darkness wins.
And most of that stems from that last battle, and everything you go through for that Tri-Force.

Oddly... I never once had any issue just whomping straight through the 'Dark Link' boss. I mean, literally, I'd BLOW through him like he was standing still.

The last Phoenix boss though... ARGH! Yes, such a pain. =-.-= Got really good at it after a'while though.

I liked it better than the first game too :[ Something about being able to jump around like a moron is infinitely pleasing. And I really love the enemies.

Oh gods yes, and the spells were such fun, especially Jump! *BOING*
