"There are some things you never forget. The birth of your child is one of them," Samuel said, sipping his mug. "I was twenty years old, still in college, when you were born. I'd been married for two years to Diana, the most wonderful woman in the world." He withdrew his wallet from his back pocket, and opened it up to take out an old, slightly faded picture from it, which he handed over to Venti.
"She's beautiful," Venti said as he saw the face of the woman who gave birth to him. He took after her, as the gold coloration on her nose, inner ears, and claws were the same as his.
"You have your mother's colors. We met at the fast food restaurant we both worked at while I was in school. I worked the morning shift, she worked the night shift, but as it turns out both of us were attracted to each other." Samuel's eyes had a faraway look to them as he spoke, his voice growing a bit softer. "We didn't plan on getting married while we were in college, but...well, accidents happen." He glanced at Venti, and his ears slowly went down.
"So...I was an accident?" Venti's heart sank a bit.
Samuel's ears perked back up as he flinched. "No! No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it like that. We had every intention of having you, but God apparently wanted you to come into the world earlier than we planned. We got married a few weeks after we found out the news. The happy news, I might add."
"You're religious, right?" Venti never understood why people had to give the responsibility of their actions to some cosmic figure.
"Raised Methodist, yup. Anyway, I loved your mother. I loved her very much. I was bound and determined to finish college even with the added responsibility of raising a child. Those were different times, and a bit easier than what folks go through today."
Venti took off his sunglasses. "Where is she, anyway? Why isn't she here?"
Samuel didn't answer immediately. He looked down at the table, then:
"Another thing you never forget is the death of your wife."

So... I think what next is...
Her death because she give birth Venti. Make Samuel really sad and blame Venti for the death of his lover.
When he can't raise his own son. So he must give Venti to someone who can raise him... before he kill his own son.
And now... Time pass and cure a broken heart of Samuel. So he want to see his own son. Maybe its too late. But he still want to see Venti. But He don't know where Venti live. Until he saw Venti on magazine. That why he just show up after 35 years have pass.
Then Venti will become a Drama King.

So he has proof, a story, an alibi. I can somewhat trust him, but as touching as this may be, I don't connect to him. I'm still hesitant, because for such a huge figure in your life to break this to you is kind of fucked up. I know you have this in store, but the reason why he gave Venti up and didn't show up is unclear, and in some ways, I don't want an answer.
I don't want him here.
I don't want him here.
