Faoladh are usually two people. They share each others souls. Maroq was given to Ena, and then their souls were merged when she was very young. To pass the trial to become a full faoladh, Ena is to raise Maroq from a pup to adulthood. During this time, her talisman is cracked, making the bond between the two unstable.

So Maroq morphs back and forth between a human and a wolf at any given moment. She later learns to control it, and together they find out how to work together so that the random transformations stop. This is one of those days where it happens one too many times and Maroq is exhausted.

Ena and Maroq grow to be a single force of nature, and have a strong bond.
