Today (14 December 2017) the FCC votes to kill Net Neutrality. You can stop them by joining a protest near your location, or by calling members of congress and telling them to stand up against Ajit Pai and his plan to let ISP's censor the web! Use any of the following tools to find a local protest, or call congress to demand they represent people over corporate profit:

The FCC doesn't do whatever it wants. The vote is going to be attacked in congress with a repeal request, and even after that it would have to pass through senate. Unless the US government actually went insane and plans to turn on its own people, which will probably trigger a revolution... I don't think it will get much further.
Thank you, but I trust EFF / FightForTheFuture / OpenMedia and experienced groups on this one, alongside the many obvious facts pointed out on this issue. Gotta love the argument "everything was fine before, so that automatically means everything must be fine from now on". Net Neutrality indeed defines the internet as a public utility... that definition keeps traffic treated equally like it should be, so that you and I don't wake up tomorrow having to pay 10$ extra for Furaffinity not to load at 56 Kb/s.
From what I've been seeing Net Neutrality mainly affected the mobile internet market, keeping it fair for everyone just like home broadband. Now that it's gone they can jack up the prices any way they want to. Probably won't affect home internet much, if at all.
I remember back before net neutrality that Verizon charged $200/month for 22GB/month.

Most likely nothing, that would be pretty laughable. Even if Net Neutrality does practically get repealed (still a long way from there), it will mostly be abused for competing services to block / throttle each other's websites (sadly this includes most video websites and social media).
It's far from gone really:
#1 Everyone is already prepared to attack it with a congressional repeal initiative.
#2 If somehow that fails, it still has to go through senate.
#3 Even if in a worst case scenario, that fails too and it does get repealed, we'd start working to get it back the moment the US gets a new government and FCC leadership. With how angry everyone is at Trump and the Republicans in general, I don't think people can take much longer before that happens.

I'm only able to watch aside and hope net neutrality will be brought back. I believe there are millions of people defending it so far. I've also heard that some hackers intimidated FCC to get net neutrality back.
We Europeans might not have any issues with network that soon though.

Ajit Pai went ahead with the decision to vote for killing net neutrality, without public peoples consent, and won 4 vs 1. It's been repealed but can still be put into effect later. Ajit Pai is a man I harbor such a hatred for that I feel my heart turn as dark and vile as a true villian. Ajit Pai, in my opinion, should take an .75mm magnum and play russian roulette.
P.S. half of the words were automatically filled in by nintendo automatic word suggestions! Isn't technology grand? P.S.S. Ajit Pai is the most hated person on the internet, my worst enemies became frienemies when I mentioned him, he is THAT infamous.

If there's any bright side here, Ajit Pai is definitely getting what's coming to him! I don't think what he did can go without consequences, for both him and others who try to do the same thing in the future. Net Neutrality will be at least to some degree restored sooner or later, you can never eradicate something that's backed by so much popular support.
