Oh Frost. Looks hot in there.

So we have lightning, ice...and now fire? Oh my the trinity of nature.
If the daughter is hell-touched I hope they save her from the public. Based on recent events, the freakish storm has got their city alert. They should probably rescue the fire girl and leave town for refuge somewhere else. It’s no longer safe for anyone of them. Just saying, I would relocate.

it´s just focused on the comic there, not the real deal. so i think i´m quite safe to bash on unreal persons of a fictional comic and their religion, i gess :P
and if someone thinks to feel offended about what i say about a fictional thing, they really have nothing better to do in their life to worry about.
and well yeah it depends on the moment or situation. women can ruin something, gays can ruin something, minorities can ruin something, but it more depends on the given thing they would ruin for someone else. but yeah. like for christians? they´d ruin the actual usefullness or potential of those with these ubernatural gifts who could do much good with their powers, but these "christians" in this comic go hard against it "because it is against their belives and religion and dont deserves to be alife" and so on, going on whitchhunts because someone is just ubernatural gifted. bleh.
so yeah. "christians" need to ruin anything cool.

You make a very good point about how some Christians would feel threatened by any phenomenon that challenges our beliefs, and I enthusiastically agree with you about that. You would not believe how many times I ground my teeth over the stupid/phobic/un-Christian things I heard in church.
The key word here is "some".
We're not all the same. And that was my problem with your first comment, and why I made the women/etc. analogy. Sweeping stereotypes like that don't serve any purpose but to drive us all further apart. I also didn't think it was necessary to attack me for having "nothing better in life to worry about". Claiming that you're bashing on fiction (as opposed to what you think of real life) is a cop-out.
By the way, where does this comic specify that the helltouched's persecuters are Christians? I went back and re-read the whole thing, and the word "Christian" doesn't appear once.

Yeah i know, not all are or some are like that. but this now turned into a discussion that has no real meaning to me anymore. This is about a fictional comic about people and a world that does not actualy exist. and now dicussing our worlds views and problems over theirs, is meaningless to me. yeah that may seems like a lazy cop-out, but that´s what it is to me. just bashing about fictional stuff.
if this still buggs you, i cant help you. but for your sake, i´m done with it anyways and i wont continue any further into this discussion. so i guess it´s a win-win here.

I wonder if her parents will find out she's alive, and then when they find out that she's hell-touched, begin to sob and say they would rather she'd have died. It would be a sobering and heartbreaking moment that really shows how much the hell-touched are not tolerated in this world, and perhaps Cinder and Frost will have a new pal!
Anybody else have this music running through their heads reading this part?

Hmm do all hell touched have elemental powers? like- fire, ice, lightning, water, air... earrrth? or are there other thinks they can gain as a power?
Terrible example: Death by sticking a fork in a toaster... would they get the power of electricity? or the power to control or summon toasters?

I dunno... I created a fan-made helltouched who was killed in a shootout and he got the ability to shot invisible bullets of psychic energy out of his hands. And maybe a helltouched who was hit by a car could get the power to create force-walls. Although when it comes to electrocution I'd go with lightning. Though it would be cool if a helltouched character who died a technology-related death could have technology-related powers, like the ability to hack into computers by touching them or the power to tap into and control random robots/drones etc
I asked questions like this a few pages ago and got no response. I'm guessing demi either wants this comic to stay as his comic and not develop into a larger object for whatever reason, demi has a strict no-response policy to their followers (or just things like this?), or (my personal guess) demi just doesnt know. Hasn't put the time into developing any background lore, hasnt thought about the req's for a person to become Touched, didn't care because they thought the comic wouldnt take off this way, etc.
I'd love to write a few short fictions based in this universe and design a few characters of my own, because who doesnt like shooting fire out of their fucking hands, but like i said i got no response so i guedd we're all shit outta lucm.
Yes i looked at the initial pages and posts for this comic as well as the chara ter refs and not a damn thing lore wise is said.
