After all these years I've finally decided on bringing Jaska back.
Originally he was different to this.
I've brought him back as a red eye'd raven, originally he was a blue eye'd crow.
He also had a human form too, but I've decided now he's just a common raven with no human form (well I say common raven, he's a demonic common raven :V)

Name: Jaska (pronounced Yask-ah)
Age: 3 years
Species: Common Raven (turned demon)
Eyes: Red
Diet: Omnivore. As a demon blood is compulsory but he can get it easy enough from small birds, reptiles and mammals.

Info on appearance:
Jaska is an ordinary looking raven, except his eyes are red because he's been turned into a demon.
His feathers are a little messy and he's quite a large size weighing in at 2kg



Likes:
Being pet under the wings and on his head (by master only)
Candy
Playing birdy games. Chasing master is his favourite. He also likes catching food out the sky which is thrown up for him.
Warmth.
Being fed instead of looking for his own food.


Dislikes:
Being touched by anyone he's unfamiliar with.
Rain
Cages (will go crazy if he's put into one)
Pigeons and seagulls....... how dare they eat the food before him!!!
Being tricked into thinking he's being given food but nope..... it's just a pebble!




Strengths:
Strong flyer: Jaska can fly greater distances than most ravens given he's a demon.
Keen eye sight and hearing.
Strong sharp talons.
Will not die of old age, he will remain in his current condition until something else kills him.
Pretty intelligent. Not "human" intelligent but is an excellent problem solver and fast learner.


Weaknesses:
Anything that will kill/injure a regular raven will kill/hurt Jaska.
Not a great swimmer. He's got to be close to a bank he can climb out of or else it's all over.
Requires blood to stay alive. He only needs it once a month but if he can not catch something in that time like a small bird or rodent he'll die of starvation.
Has a sweet beak, he's easily distracted by candy... which he probably shouldn't be eating anyway!





Personality:
Jaska is generally quite a focused bird and is able to pay close attention to his master and surroundings. He's not easily distracted, unless he spots a sweet treat in which case his eyes will be focused on that.
He's quite a playful bird, and also enjoys being pet under his wings or on the top of his head. To some he may seem very domesticated, but he only behaves this way for his master and will behave very much feral to anyone else who tries to interact with him if those people have not had the approval of his master.
Although he's a demon and requires blood it's very rare he'll ever get it from a human. In fact the only time he gets human blood is if his master has it and the rest of the time he'll get it from smaller prey.
He's very loyal not only to his master but to his master's allies too and will alert his master (or allies) if anything goes wrong.



History:
Jaska was just a regular raven living in Darsha.
He grew up in the city of Distort and would mostly regular a public park looking for scraps to eat which had been dropped by humans passing by.
During the winter months though the park was less active and food was harder to come by so he would fly into the city out of desperation.
It was during Jaska's third winter that he encountered some trouble on looking for food.
He was watching a group of hooligans in an alley way one evening. They all had food which they'd gotten from a fast food place up the street and Jaska was sat on a telephone poll waiting for something to be dropped by one of the rowdy hooligans so he could go and get it.
It didn't take too long for one of the thugs to notice Jaska watching them. He tempted the bird down from his perch with some of his french fries cooing "here birdy birdy" to him.
Jaska took the bait and came down to pick up the food which had been offered to him, and while he was picking it up the thug swung at him with a baseball bat sending Jaska flying into the wall in a mess limp of blood and feathers.

A demon just so happened to have turned up right at that moment and saw what the thug had done to the bird, and saw the other thugs laughing and praising him for his actions.
The demon approached the thugs and casually confronted them about it. It was a dead end and the only way out of the ally was past the demon.
They laughed at the demon at first, until they saw his fangs and suddenly realised what they were dealing with.
He snatched the baseball bat away from the one who'd hit the bird and whacked him across the jaw with it before tossing the bat behind him and proceeded to kill off the thugs one by one leaving their bodies where they fell.
Once all the thugs were down the demon went over to the dying bird and picked it up.
He couldn't just leave the raven in this condition to die, his first thought was to end it's suffering and snap it's neck. But then he had another idea.
He bit into his own wrist and then let the blood drip into the Raven's wounds.
The raven kah'd loudly as it's broken bones popped back into place and it's internal organs changed becoming stronger until eventually it fell limp and silent. And as it's eyes opened again it became apparent that Jaska was no longer a regular common raven but a demon.

From then on Jaska has been a pet of sorts to the demon.
Not one which stays in a cage, Jaska still flies free and can come and go as he wishes. But one which is still loyal and sticks by his master when he's needed/wanted or even just when he wants to be with him.
It was the demon who gave Jaska his name, which Jaska quickly learned to respond to.
And Jaska learned that his master's name was Carlos. Though he can't say it himself you'll see him quickly become alert if you say his master's name.
