When Kingman met Oppie he was Kasandra's personal bodyguard. As if she needed a bodyguard, but Oppie still filled the role. The first thing you notice about him is his size. He is 7 foot 10. (without the armor. With armor he tops 8 foot.) And he is incredibly strong. But just because he is living human mountain, doesn't mean he is stupid. He graduated from Harvard with honors in history and archaeology. He was born in Seville, Spain and grew up an orphan. Oppie has a form of Acromegaly which caused him to get to that size, however, the result he got, was his body forming a second heart and organs that deal with the strain of his size. This means that even at 38 he can still run, jump, and fight, as quick and agile as smaller opponents. He is also married to Tori McAllister, the two are planning kids. Oppie is now training Inquisitorial applicants in the ways of military combat, strategy, and field survival.

Oppie is a good cook as well, something he picked up when he was a young kid.

He trains in Sambo and Akido. He uses both styles in his own fighting style.
