I went "loooooll whaaaat?" and hoped this was a joke, I'm glad it was. Now it's just that extra bit funnier to me. I've never seen anyone make that mistake, but the point still stands! References are your friends people!

Thankfully I haven't either; this came from the very common mistake of seeing digitigrade ferrets and even BEARS in DA.

What with DA being the metaphorical gas giant of a site that it is, sadly, there's even more room for stupidity. Granted, I did go look up ferret and bear feet to see what they were like, but that in itself proved your point. Seconds after I looked, I know what a bear and ferret foot look like. And these people can't spare a few seconds to check, what a busy life they must lead!

Though now that I dared to search FA too, I see the same problem even more widely.
But yeah, it's that "everything is a dog" syndrome, the same that seems to plague horses too.
