It was super cold (-15c) this eve, with a lot of "diamond dust" floating in the air, so there were amazing light pillars all over town. Had to get a pic of them while hubby waited in the car (this was in Jessheim). :) Here's what causes them: https://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/lpil.htm

Range goes down, summer often do 220km, winter more down to 170km. High speed charging is slower when battery is cold, does not get 45kW when battery is below 10c, but going on a longer trip, battery generally gets up to 10c, and then charging is fast. We drove it to the cabin in part sub zero rain and part snow up and down hilly roads, and it is about the best car I have ever driven for this (no, it is not a 4WD-SUV thingie). Having a 300kg battery does something to the stability :) The remote controlled pre-condition is so lovely, and no matter how cold it is, engine starts without any issue.
The i3 is not a highway car though, if you drive a lot on the autobahn, you should probably consider something with a more aerodynamic shape, like the Ioniq.

I think 22kW is max for this car, 11kW still is great for a car that size. The car has a 16kWh battery, so 11kW charger should fill it up in less than 1.5 hours. In that sense, you can go on a 200km drive if you have an hour to spare and a 11kW charger on the way :)
Electrics are so fun, I am NEVER going back to gas :)

The way you talked about your car in Stockholm was really what made me wish for an e-car. That AND that you made the whole distance with yours.
Now I clearly understand that I'll be driving a town car for the next three years. But mind you, we still have the Pickup for hauling the horse trailer (still an issue with e-cars) and to go longer distances. But I can't wait to see the progress done in the upcoming three years
