What do you smooth your mesh in? Blender to play with the... whatever it has to equate to nurbs from maya, or do you use zbrush for it?

Blender has nurbs as well, as well as vertex smoothing and open subdivision.

Needs some ambient occlusion... either dynamic or baked. He looks a bit flat under this lighting compared to your usual style, which looks kind of odd with a realistic sky?

Shadow's pretty spiffy though
