Emotional Description: To your average ‘mon, he’s polite, courteous, even has a sense of humor. When he’s in the room, he’s the life of the party. To his wife, Ellie, though, he has recently become very violent and abusive, often demanding outlandish things of her and verbally degrading her into a submissive stance.


History: Max Opfermann was not an extraordinary mon growing up. He was excessively normal, almost to the point of being boring. He fell in love with his Ellen Parker in high school, and married her immediately after getting his Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Landscaping. The two settled down in their hometown of Vermillion, and life was a very cliché kind of happy for the couple.

But six months ago, when Max was walking home from the grocery store, he was struck in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. When he finally returned home to his worried wife hours later, he struck her for the first time in his life, and told her to pack her things. The two of them abandoned their home and their lives and made their way to Viridian City, where Max took the job of gardener for the Ritten House.
