Stream result of December 17th 2017. After initating a weekly sunday stream I asked the very few viewers on what I should draw based on a phrase, "Size stuff only, No OCs, Final Destination". Out of the stuff mentioned, one viewer said 'g/t Kass and Link from Zelda: Breath of the Wild' and I thought 'Yeah, I've been playing that a lot lately, sure'. and so I did.

I had intended to do a more paintery format instead of relying solely on lineart and block colours which can be time-consuming without much payout in a couple of hours. Even with some references handy I was having trouble angling Kass's head as I had not drawn avians before. After turning my thinking around I started with very basic shapes and volumes first and then the rest fell into place. I used a soft brush to slowly fill in the light and shadows until it resembled something familiar. I had to keep the sketch lines in place as it would appear too bland and basic otherwise.

As I wanted to draw Kass and Link in a macro/micro scene, I chose to make Kass gigantic with Link (in blue) climbing up his shoulder. Any fan of BotW would recognise the stamina bar which is looking pretty low at this point. As Kass is a bard, he's definitely into his accordian which I not-so-accurately scribbled into his giant Rito hands. Apparently the giant knows of the Minish Cap and Majora's Mask, both of which were definitely outside his timeline, but we're talking about a hundred plus foot tall Rito so it's a moot point.
