Dustin Cole always wanted to help. Whether it be his little sister while growing up, or volunteering his time for the less fortunate, Dustin always was the first to offer hand to those in need. It wasn’t a surprise when Dustin announced he was going to be joining a humanitarian trip to Australia to assist the Omnics and allies boost their solar farming…however the ambush was.

The ALF apparently didn’t take kindly to Omnic sympathizers, much less ones who wanted to actually help the Omnics compete in the solar market against them. The Liberation Force attacked the humanitarian group, causing them to scatter, Dustin included. After wandering the outback for a few days, the engineer was lucky to be found by a small community of Omnics and human sympathizers who nursed him back to health.

In return for their kindness, Dustin began helping the group with their settlement by increasing solar output, better water filtration, but most importantly fortifying themselves from the ALF raids.

To do his part, Dustin managed to construct an exo-suit of sorts that enhanced his strength, but also contained a few useful gadgets. Armed with a heavy machine gun left from an Scrapper attack and a gauntlet that fired electric trip wires, the engineer quickly earned the ire of the Scrappers along with the nickname ‘Scrapguard’ which wound up sticking.

As much as Dustin wants to continue to protect his new home, he’s spent several sleepless nights trying to construct a transmitter to let his family know that he’s alive and doing good in the world…
