Went out to a shooting range in Vancouver on the weekend with a couple friends. It was the first time Ive ever actually shot a firearm, the closest thing besides tit being a paintball gun. So I was all shakey and nervous as they let me rent a USP .45, and with 100 rounds of ammo, got to enjoy the experience of killing a paper target.
Who says that video games cant teach you anything? *cackles* 100 rounds, and only 6 shots didnt land in the target. I can be happy with that!

I count only 25 shots that aren't pretty much assured kill, especially if the one being shot wasn't treated medically in a very short time. And a rather -large- number that are pretty much instantly fatal just from the sheer blood loss. An you said you had 100 rounds? That's a 73+% kill ratio, when rounded realistically. For someone that's never fired at an actual target, that's -damn- good. Especially when all but 5 or 6 still connected with the target in some way. You sure you've never fired a real gun before?
Yes, yes, I know. Bit morbid to think of things like that. But, sad to say, in this case that's exactly what you'd measure it in. And it has a secondary use. Increasing your accuracy, so in the case you ever found yourself in the horrible position to -have- to fire a weapon -at- another person, it's that much more likely you could control your aim and -not- fire a kill shot! Thus less likelihood a life is lost.. that's -always- a good thing!

As far as I know, Ive only fired paintball guns, a teensy pellet gun, and some nerf guns. X> I dunno, maybe I sleep steal firearms and shoot them! *giggles*
I am quite sure I coudl put all the shots in the same area time and again, its easy enough to hold the gun steady enough to take sight, and pull the trigger. But I didnt want a single area with all the rounds, I wanted to try for the head and whatnot a few times, more interesting!

Not to mention that keeping yourself form just hitting the same thing over and over gives your aim and thus accuracy a better 'workout' if you will. Some day I need to try that myself, so that I can make sure the first time, if it ever happens, that I find myself with a gun in a bad situation won't -also- be the first time I've ever held a gun! You know.. one of those things you pray against, but want to be prepared for just the same. Thanks for sharing cute one!
Now, now, nestie, that's very good aim you have there! :>What was the distance and how large this target is?
It's interesting how people tend to think about how the target would be dead if it was real when they are shooting something! I tend to do it too, it's actually quite a lifting thought, not because of the kill but the fact you know you can aim so well! *chuckles*

Hey, jsut ask all the annoying questions, eh? *cackles* Id lvoe to say the target was a mile away, and this was actualy size... but hey, Im not a liar!
It was 10 metres away (approx 30ft) and the target is... hard to say. Best judge of the target size is by those pushpins in the corners.
