When wuff took these to work for the shop Holiday Party, Vrghr asked his co-workers what he ought to call this treat. The overwhelming response was "Reindeer Balls", which just goes to prove that wuffy's co-workers are as crazy as Vrghr is! Wuff is in good company! *giggles*
So, in the spirit of the holiday, here are TWO recipes for the same confection: A "Naughty" and a "Nice" edition. Read whichever one suites you best! *grin*
Note that this is a "no cook" recipe. Only the coating needs to be warmed, and that can easily be done in the microwave.
Also, these can be chilled to keep longer, but they are VERY dense, nearly like jawbreakers, when cold. For the sake of your teeth, let these warm a bit before consuming!
Reindeer Balls (Naughty Version)
These are a lovely, rather dense confection, ideal for a quiet evening on the couch at home where you can lick a pair intimately and intensely without any fear of social stigma from your peculiar culinary indulgences.
These are simple to create, but some care needs to be taken as you'll be working with warm fluids and sticky substances that tend to smear all over everything if you get too wild with them.
First we'll warm up our muscles with a little bondage and beating; Wrap up a boxful of graham crackers securely in a large, restrictive, zip-top bag. Now, time to apply some blunt force until those stiff slabs of sweetness are reduced to fine, soft, powdery and compliant crumbs.
Next we increase the heat, and we get our first contact with some thick, white, sticky stuff! Scoop a jar of Marshmallow Fluff into a microwave-safe bowl. Make sure you use a bigger bowl than you think you'll need, as when you start heating things up you'll find this fluff swells and rises. And whatever you do, don't trying getting it hot in that restrictive tubular container or it will shoot and spurt all over your microwave. And you'll be cleaning off sticky white strands for the rest of the night!
Now we introduce our beaten and compliant crumbs to the sweet white foam. You may find this goes easier with gentle hands than with any implements. Just be sure you keep those soft, powdery crumbs between you and the cream. Spread a coating and gently press them into it. Then flip and repeat. Don't get too intense yet, for if your fingers press in too deeply, those helpful crumbs will give way and you can find a sudden emergence of that sticky white stuff. You want to keep that intact until the oral portion; premature emergence can spoil the mood!
Once you have a full and complete congress between crumbs and fluff, it's time to turn it into a threesome with the introduction of some sultry, dark chocolate Mini Chocolate Chips. A half a cup will do, but the amount is up to you! Just work them into the fluffy crumb mixture until the feeling is right and they're evenly dispersed throughout.
Now comes the fun! Scoop up a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and place it the middle of your palm. Don't be afraid to touch it! It'll feel a bit course and lumpy at first, but we're going to start rolling it between our two palms. Use gentle and steady pressure and you'll be rewarded with a smooth, silky ball between your palms. Don't squeeze too hard or get too rough, or you can damage your balls. You might even shatter or split them, and this should be avoided.
Don't fondle them too long either! That soft, compliant layer of crumbs is still working for you, but, if you play with them for too long you can heat things up and either those sultry chips or that sticky white stuff will suddenly spurt out and you'll have a sticky mess all over your fingers again. Stop when your balls are firm to the touch and nice and round.
Next we place our balls in the refrigerator. They'll shrink up a bit, and get solid and hard and much easier to handle, especially when we pour that molten chocolate over them. If we've gotten them too hot and sensitive, you know that white sticky stuff will explode out of them when that happens! So, best to chill things out now.
Speaking of molten chocolate, time to do that now. Break up about 1/2 to 3/4 of a bar of Chocolate Bark and melt it in a microwave safe bowl for 45 seconds. Stir it about to start the melting process, then heat it again for another 10-15 seconds. Repeat the heating and stirring until you have a hot, silky, shiny pool of melted chocolate that flows easily.
Get a sheet of non-stick aluminum or parchment paper and put it on a cooking sheet. This will be our resting area for our finished balls.
Retrieve our chilled balls from the fridge and gently immerse each one into the thick, molten chocolate. Be sure to coat every bit of them. You might want to roll them around in that luscious pool of chocolate before taking them out with a pair of chopsticks or a pair of forks.
Place each one on the prepared baking sheet. Don't let them touch, or they will cling together and you'll have difficulty later eating them as anything but pairs of balls!
Once that chocolate coating has cooled to room temperature and hardened, you can return them to the fridge for storage. Wuff recommends placing your balls in a suitable container, such as a supple sack of zip-top style, for easy future access.
Let your balls return to room temperature before any oral shenanigans. You'll find them VERY hard, dense, and unresponsive if they are too cold!

S'Mores Truffles (Nice Version)
You'll only need 4 ingredients to make this simple dish:
1 Jar Marshmallow Fluff
1 box (16 oz) Graham Crackers
~1/2 C Mini "Toll house" Chocolate Chips
Chocolate "bark" for coating
Using a rolling pin, canned food, etc., mash the graham crackers into crumbs. Vrghr found this easier to do in a large zip-top bag.
Scoop the Marshmallow Fluff into a large micro-wave safe bowl, and warm for a few seconds in the microwave to make it less stiff. Add the graham cracker crumbs and fold in. Add the mini chocolate chips and fold those in. (you can add other treats at this point if you wish, too).
Form scoops of the mixture into balls of the desired size (~3/4=1" works nicely). Return to bowl and refrigerate to solidify for about 20 minutes.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt about 1/2 to 3/4 "brick" (about 12/ oz) of chocolate bark in the microwave for ~40 seconds. Stir, and microwave another 10-15 seconds. Stir again. Repeat until completely smooth and easily flowing.
Remove chilled balls from fridge.
Line a baking sheet with non-stick aluminum foil or parchment paper.
Drop each ball into the chocolate and remove with a pair of forks. Place on prepared baking sheet. Don't let them touch! Allow to cool and harden at room temp. They will be solid enough to put into a smaller package, like a bowl or large zip top container and return to fridge to harden completely.
Serve at room temperature.
