Been trying out some new styles lately in my art so I wanted to try my hand at one of ChimeraSynx's http://www.furaffinity.net/user/chimerasynx/ creations... I'm very fascinated by strange beasties, but never have sat down to actually draw one (aside from my hellhounds Precious and Tenacious, of course, though they need a serious update)... His Synx creatures are of the few that I've came across that I became enticed by and had to try my hand at...

Used these two sheets as partial refs: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1537493/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1839508/ Mostly worked from the second one because I enjoyed the idea of making a Synx that "thinks it's tough shit", one that forgoes it's parasitic heritage... So that's why for the longer horns and the bleeding from the eyes, and also the HUGE... This Synx seems to enjoy ingesting steroids or something...D': Also played around with the flexible jaws and fingernail-like teeth... Didn't do the long jaw mode though because I'mma have to practice more before attempting that degree of detail...lol

I also read in commentary on one of his drawings that Synxes can range from tiny, thin ones to big, fat ones... If I ever get half a mind to draw a body for this thing, it will be FAT cause I am fats and enjoy fat things so there...>8V And with permission of course, I really just want to see what a fat one looks like...*laughs* This is also probably one of the most detailed linearts that I've ever done, I scared myself...lol If I do decide to color it, I'll clean it up better when I ink it...
