Mike had started his new job around the time he and his girlfriend had begun having problems. Anxious to make a good impression, he was spending increasing amounts of time in the office and consequently Kathryn was feeling neglected and unwanted. Things finally exploded one night in a screaming argument.
Mike got into work the next day in a truly foul mood. The final straw was that the strip light had failed: when he flipped the switch, it buzzed but didn’t light.
Fuming, Mike called Services and told them to fix it: he was in no mood for light waits.

Jennifer slowly woke up. Her head was spinning. Last night was a blur. She remembered Rob leaving the bar after they finished the first round of daiquiris, the badger had other things on his mind, but the rest of the night was… fuzzy. Melanie and Sarah had gotten a couple of cute guys to buy the three of them drinks.
As she got out of bed to get ready for the day she tried to think about what she drank last night. 3… 5… 8 shots and a couple of strawberry daiquiris. When had she become such a light weight?

Sky was ready to go with his usual toning routine when Lance walked into the gym. The eight-foot-tall grey dragon was packed with muscle and lost no time in singling Sky out, the sleek bronze dragon being of particular interest to the hulking beast.
“Is that all you’re lifting?” Lance asked as Sky settled under the bar.
“Yeah Lance, why?” Sky replied.
“Oh nothing. I just thought it’d be fun to work out together but if that’s all you’re lifting…” Lance drifted off.
Sky cocked a browridge.
“And if I were to lift more than this? What then my friend?”

Weasel opened an eye. 'Eight o'clock' his alarm clock read. Peeking out of his window, he spots the usual snow covered ground that embodies the Christmas season. "Gotta get to the gym..." he says with a sigh. Quickly washing up and brushing his teeth, he raced outside.
The first thing Weasel noticed upon entering the gym was the newly adorned decorations on everything; from the walls to the floors, the entire gym was in the holiday spirit. Even the dumbbells which sat on their racks were illuminated with Christmas bulbs!!!
Weasel chuckled to himself. "Now THOSE are some light weights."

As Raistlin exited his radio station, the large hawk was immediately pushed aside by two bulky huskies that were chasing a shrimpish looking otter.
Cornering the small otter, the huskies roughly shoved him between their chests, happily berating him with calls of “light weight!”
Taking it upon himself, Raistlin walked behind the two huskies, grabbing each at the nape of their necks, easily lifting them up with one wing.
Looking them dead in the eye, the bird growled, “Everyone is a light weight to someone, leave 'im alone...” before dropping them, offering a smile to the otter, and walking off.

I'm not exactly a good writer, but I saw everyone posting about weights/gyms and figured someone needed to have a drink :P
Grinning at a slim stallion on the opposite side of the table, a young looking black-and-white border collie ran a paw over the six empty shot glasses in front of him, or he tried to.
In reality he didn't have the coordination to perform such an act, and he ended up knocking half of the glasses over, sending one rolling slowly towards the other side of the table, only stopping as it tapped against the two glasses in front of the horse, who appeared just as drunk as his partner.
“Come now, Matty... you're such a light weight!”

Oh, what the hell...
Andrew jumped, suddenly awoken by the doorbell.
'Stupid mailman. THROW IT THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW IF IT'S TOO BIG!'
DINGDONG.
'Alright, alright, I'm coming.' Rising off the couch he accidentally kicked the table.
CLANKCHUNK
Wincing, he looked down. Dumbbell weights lay cracked in halves on the floor.
'Lousy, cheap imports.'
He yanked open the door revealing...nothing. Now, he was pissed.
Laughter came from the nearby shrubs. He thrust his arms in and removed two kids.
'Leggo, leggo!'
Andrew grinned. 'Unless ya have $50 on yourselves, you'll do as replacements. Not quite dumbbells, but you'll do for some light weights'

In the days before the Fall, Tarbh scientists worked on a new project. One evening, the minotaurs clustered around their wondrous machine and raised their tankards, their proof-of-concept now a reality. Through a roomful of prisms, reflectors, cathodes and coils, they had created the first device to measure the relative weight of different beams of light. Into it they shone sunlight, starlight, moonlight — and even firelight.
During the party, two of the tarbh crept away to the empty veranda overlooking Tauria.
“What is your favourite light?” asked the first quietly.
“The light in your eyes,” came the reply.

This is Dineegla's attempt!!
This is Dineegla's attempt!!
Hope this is acceptable:
Dawn had already came as Jaren reached his training grounds, today he was going to push himself past his limit, he needed to get stronger.
Hours passed as the blue and black wolf trained, the regimen using every muscle in him as the training with nature took its toll, his body being drenched with blood and sweat.
"More!" the wolf exclaimed as he lifted a giant boulder above his head, his biceps not straining at all as he pumped it a few times then tossed it aside easily.
He walked away from the weight disappointed and muttering, "Too damn light..."

Second First Flight
When The Day came, it found him sitting at the edge of his favourite cliff.
Looking down at the little people-ants milling about their sickening mundane businesses and slowly eroding his Canyon never failed to leave him bitter. Even now, so close to the end, when it shouldn't have mattered anymore. Even now, when he was old, feeble and wingless.
He sighed and stood up, casting the oppressive husk of millennia worth of memories away. When nothing but the light weights of his childhood remained, the old dragon jumped.
Plummeting down, into his Second First Flight.
Well, I tried it out. Today really hasn't been my day tho, so forgive me if my writing/knowledge of Greek God fails. I'm quite shabby in both respects.
Atlas hefted the planet gently back on his shoulders. Being cursed to carry the weight of the world for all eternity can certainly lead to a stiff back.
Having nothing better to do than watch the people go about their business, he saw many heartaches and suffering. He almost hated the people sometimes, seeing them cause so much pain on their fellow man, and what for?
Then, he would spy the birth of a beautiful baby, or a proposal between two lovers. His heart would soften. Hatred would fade. The weight of the world would get just a little lighter.
I tried to be clever, not sure how well it worked. *shrug*

Rattling along on a wooden coaster, Wolfpatch and Emerson were enjoying a quick ride..
"Here comes that hill you hate so much, Em! Ya better strap on that belt on TIGHTLY!" amusedly said the slender timberwolf.
The chubby lion mocked in a similar tone, "Ha.. I ain't lightweight and am not scared of no creaky hill!"
As the train screams over the hill, the pair becomes weightless only for a second over the apex.
The lion grips the handlebar with such ferocity that could have left permanent pawprints!
Wolfpatch teases, "You aren't one, but you act like one!"
Wow, its tough to make a good joke in 100 words... but thats the best i could do.. hope you like it!

Did something like this in my journalism class. Only had 50 words to summarize a three hour long event though instead of 100. It's almost like a puzzle trying to make it all fit, but it's fun.
Ryan breathed slowly as he sat on the bench, taking the next couple of moments to psych himself up.
"You sure you can do this?" Laras asked the human, "You've never benched this much before."
Ryan laid on his back, staring up at his friend turned personal trainer, "Let me try."
The otter lifted the bar up for his friend. Ryan's arms trembled as he struggled to hold up the weight before suddenly dropping it on his chest. He gasped for air, unable to lift it up.
"It's okay, a lot of people can't do just the bar." Laras laughed.

He looked around the local gym watching the other members. All the sweat and strain they put themselves through looked discomforting. Rep after rep after rep and some of them would go on forever.
This environment brought back memories of which none were all too pleasant. The type of people who the fellow knew growing up that would love this place. He couldn’t stand them for longer than five minutes or even two.
The sights of some of the male members were nice to see, he couldn’t stay. Handing back his member’s card thinking, “Will always be a light weight.”
worth a shot. x3 heh.
