So, I was gonna make a new album with a couple more instruments involved, but I don't have a piano yet, and for the "Cleverly Put Together Madness" album, I accidentally wrote too many songs, and then a bunch of new ones after I recorded it, so I think I'm just gonna make a follow up album with just ukulele (and say "just" twice in one sentence) Later, I'll jump into something more interesting. This song, and a couple of others I've already uploaded on here, will go on the new album. I'll probs release the second album in January or February. The songs will be only be uke and one vocal track. It'll be cool! Maybe? It'll be folky, for sure
Lyrics:
Two grand at a used car place
Plus another eight hundred to restore the breaks.
Four years in; still ticking like clockwork
My little red Ford Escort is immortal; with the heat still blowing, that’s a perk.
Nevermind the bumper falling off
Or the broken key fob; I call that charm, right there.
Nevermind the screw in the tire.
I can make it to Detroit with just a quarter’s worth of air.
My car is perfect. It works, I swear.
And I guarantee on upkeep that I really, really care.
There is no rust where you can’t see.
And it’s just the roads in Michigan causing all that rattling.
Don’t forget that I took him to the Rockies.
And the only pressing issue was a dent from something I hit.
Don’t forget that I took him to see Pittsburgh.
I don’t think I need a car any more than adequate.
There’s nothing wrong with an engine that you don’t bother to check.
It is fine; it’s in working condition. They will not find any faults when I finally wreck.
My car is functional. My car is the shit.
My little red Ford Escort is abhorrent only when you question it.
There is no issue you can see.
So that must mean there’s no issue in all of my car’s entirety.

Yeah, cant say i was quite as lucky(blew the head gasket). I will say though my family owned it for like 6 years before i got it, and it already had 250k on the odometer. Then again, i never had any luck with the cars i owned, including a 1968 vw bus for a bit. Nonetheless, love the song.
